Great ideas I can use straight away such as sound lines. Still have questions about children with dysgraphia and language disorders which are causing huge delays but perhaps with this practice-mouth and ears, it is possible for them to learn to read and write.

I see how these activities can help students analyze words and become familiar with word patterns, scaffolding support as needed. I especially appreciate the advice to use an erasable board when writing sentences so that errors can be erased for a final product that is not overwhelming to the student with "red" corrections. I'm excited to incorporate these practices as I tutor my students. Thank you!
